About Me
My Name is Arkash Angelo and I’m a student at Sheridan College and currently pursuing my diploma in Advertising and Communication media which will be done in April of 2024. I’m Originally from Sri Lanka where I was born and where learned my secondary education. My family consists of 4, my mother has been a consistent supporter from my childhood till now, and I have a younger brother who currently pursuing cybersecurity as his major back home. I moved to Canada in December 2023 for a better future, and it has been a tremendous journey and stayed with my aunt and she has been kind to me, and my program has been very uplifting I always wanted to be a digital marketer and pursue my dreams.
I also worked back in Sri Lanka for a consultancy which gave me some work experience before moving to Canada and I currently work at Loblaws in Burlington. I’ve been a big sports fan since my childhood, and soccer has been my favorite sport since moving to Canada I started loving basketball which made me interested in the NBA. I also speak 3 languages which are English, French, and my native language. I’m also very passionate about traveling and I have been to plenty of countries and enjoy their culture and food and meet new people. I hope this introduction gives you a deep dive into my journey and hope you can have a look at my E-portfolio.
GOALS

Improving my skills in digital Marketing
By Increase Brand Awareness by increasing the visibility and recognition of their brand among their target audience through various digital channels such as social media, content marketing, and online advertising.
• With my background in marketing, I would generate leads for the business or clients. This involves attracting potential customers through tactics like email marketing, SEO, and gated content.

Master my Skills in InDesign and Photoshop for future Analysis.
Familiarize myself with InDesign workspace, including panels, tools, and menus.
• develop skills in layout design principles including alignment, balance, contrast, and hierarchy. Practice creating various layouts for different types of documents.

Strengthening my Networking skills in the Marketing Industry
By participating in workshops learn about the latest trends and build connections. Try to attend relevant events, seminars, workshops, and networking mixers where I can meet like-minded individuals.
• Trying to build relationships by focusing on building genuine, mutually beneficial relationships with people in the industry. Take the time to listen, show interest in others' work, and offer help or support when I can.
